Abstract
Previous results obtained with erythrocytes of vitamin E + vitamin B2 deficient rats or vitamin B2-deficient rats incubated in presence of divicine (the hemolytic factor of the favism) have shown peroxidation of membrane lipid during hemolysis,1 and decrease in the fluidity of the hydrophobic region of membrane lipids.2 These modifications appear only in the whole erythrocytes, but not when the ghosts are used (unpublished data).
