Abstract

Objective To explore the role of full-time in noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NPPV) for patients with respiratory failure.Methods Patients treated with NPPV in common ward were chosen.The control group received routine nursing care.The intervention group received noninvasive ventilation nursing care.Results 2 hours after NPPV treatment,the results of arterial blood gas analysis were better and the success rate and compliance rate were higher in the intervention group than in the control group,with statistical difference (P < 0.05).Conclusions Full-time care team can improve the nursing quality of the patients with respiratory failure treated with NPPV and make the patients more comfortable.
