Abstract
This study was designated to reveal the role of various cytokinins in vessel regeneration around a wound in mature internodes of Coleus blumei, in which vessel elements originate from fusiform cambial initials. Such an in vitro system enables an experimental study of the role of growth regulators in organized tissues which maintain the natural gradients and polarities inherent in the intact plant
