Abstract

The theory of stochastic stability and L 2 -gain of switched linear systems is extended to the solution of the static output-feedback control problem. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of a solution to the stochastic state-multiplicative static output-feedback control of these systems where a dwell time constraint is imposed on the switching. Both nominal and uncertain polytopic systems are considered where, in the latter case, a vertex-dependant approach is applied which is based on the Finsler lemma. An example is given that demonstrates the tractability and solvability of the proposed theory.
