Abstract
Image identification and restoration algorithms that are based on the use of robust statistical methods are presented. In particular, a robust version of the two-dimensional reduced-update Kalman filter (RUKF) is developed. The robust RUKF can be used for restoring images that are corrupt by epsilon -contaminated Gaussian noise. >
