Abstract
This paper introduces an innovative composite sliding mode control strategy tailored for large-scale system, specifically tackling the intricate task of formulating a sliding mode control law for singularly perturbed systems. This paper delineates the development of a composite controller by dissecting it into subsystem controllers for both ‘slow’ and ‘fast’ subsystems, exploring its effectiveness in managing matched bounded external disturbances within the context of large-scale system. While sliding mode control proves to be a robust solution for handling uncertainty and disturbances, its inherent complexity and discontinuous characteristics pose significant challenges in crafting designs suitable for singularly perturbed systems.
