Abstract

The primary disadvantage of current design techniques of robust control is their inability to deal effectively with pre-specified time-domain performances of systems. We consider robust control for uncertain linear systems with pre-specified time-domain performances, i.e. for such systems with constraints on outputs of systems. Using the practical stability theory, we obtain a design procedure of robust control for uncertain linear systems with constraints on outputs of systems. The sufficient conditions of robust stability for uncertain linear systems with constraints on outputs of systems subject to a bounded exterior disturbance are described by a series of parametric conditions and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then a possible synthesis procedure and a numerical example are discussed.
