Abstract
This paper is a survey of the activities carried out at the Josěf Stefan Institute in robotics research and the development of industrial robots and their applications. A list of research themes is given with a brief explanation of each containing the objectives, the results obtained, the history and future outlook. In addition, the main projects concerned with the development of industrial robots are described. Special emphasis is given to the Slovene Robotics Research and Development Project which includes over thirty industrial and research organizations.
