Robot-Assisted Repair of Cesarean Scar Defect

Abstract

This video demonstrates the use of the robotic surgical system for the repair of a cesarean scar defect. The patient is a 29 year old G3P2011 with two prior cesarean sections and an ectopic pregnancy in her cesarean scar. During the medical treatment of her ectopic pregnancy multiple ultrasounds were obtained. Each ultrasound demonstrated a uterine defect at the site of her cesarean scar. She desires future fertility. A robot-assisted repair of the uterine defect was performed with combined hysteroscopy to identify the defect intra-operatively.
