Abstract
The article presents statistical indicators of transportation safety based on a questionnaire survey of residents of the Ulyanovsk region who actively use public transport. The survey showed that passengers attach paramount importance to the safety of transportation, which is ensured by the prescribed standards and measures of the traffic safety organization. There are many claims against taxi drivers due to the unacceptably low level of culture of behavior of many drivers, this is stated by 70 % of respondents.
