Abstract

Abstract RMI 8Mn is an alpha-beta titanium alloy that provides a guaranteed room-temperature minimum tensile strength of 120,000 psi in the mill-annealed condition. This alloy offers good formability and excellent resistance to corrosion in applications requiring high strength-to-weight ratios at temperatures up to 700 F. Its uses include aircraft sheet components and structural parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and bend strength. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ti-82.
