Abstract

The subject of research in the article are methods, models and mechanisms for assessing the innovative project’s risk in higher education institutions, taking into account the use of modern information technologies. The purpose of the research is to develop risk management mechanisms in higher education institutions as part of information support for innovative projects. The following tasks are solved in the article: to determine the advantages and disadvantages of risk assessment methods in innovative projects in higher education institutions and to offer effective solutions for minimizing the level of uncertainty in the management of innovative projects. The following methods are used: methods of project and program management, methods of designing information systems and technologies, theory of systems and system analysis. The following results were obtained: both analyzed approaches can be used to take into account risk and uncertainty when evaluating the effectiveness of innovative projects, although the method of evaluating the expected effectiveness is more grounded from a theoretical point of view. However, in practical implementation, it is associated with some difficulties, the need to compile and process a large number of project scenarios. The implementation of the proposed mechanisms in higher education institutions for assessing the risk of innovative projects is supposed to be carried out based on the use of an information system, which will greatly simplify the procedure for achieving the goal.
