Abstract

(Abstracted from JAMA 2019;322(7):652–665) For women in the United States, BRCA1/2 mutations occur in approximately 1 in 300 to 500 women. Risk of ovarian, fallopian, and peritoneal cancer is also increased to 39% in those with BRCA1 mutations and 10% to 17% for those with BRCA2 mutations.
