Abstract

The generation of oscillations in a ring self-pumped phase-conjugate mirror (RSPPCM) with a photorefractive Ba 0.77Ca 0.23TiO 3 crystal (BCT) as an active medium is shown. The interplay of a reflection and a transmission grating is observed, whereas the threshold of the RSPPCM can be reduced by the reflection grating. The internal phase-conjugate reflectivity inside the ring of the RSPPCM tends asymptotically to 100% for an intensity of the pump wave higher than 40 mW/mm 2.
