Abstract
The article offers an overview of the content of the present issue of „Tekstualia” and problematizesthe issue of Reymont’s status and meaning of his role as a writer in Polish and world literature sincehis Nobel Prize in Literature in 1924. The article also tries to offer an overview of the scientifi cpapers included in „Tekstualia” issue, but also (as an introduction) offers a kind of reconnaissancewhich focuses on different points of view and glosses about Reymont’s papers and works (especiallynovels, short stories, novellas, diaries, memoirs and adaptations of his great novel – The Peasants).
