Abstract

Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) in its portion in the regions has a role in forming a happy family. Through several formulated efforts, the realization of their duties and responsibilities is able to have a good influence on prospective couples who are about to get married. One of the efforts made is to run a pre-marital course by educating potential partners about household matters and the turmoil that will adorn their journey. This program aims for prospective brides in order to provide preparation and readiness of body and soul to step on the level of religious perfection. The maqasid sharia is present as a controller as well as the legal basis that guides humans to create a household with the title sakinah mawaddah warahmah. This study was conducted using a juridical-normative approach and a sociological approach which was presented qualitatively. Primary data sources are from 10 KUA as research locations in Bone Regency which were selected and considered capable of explaining the whole area. The secondary data were obtained from various sources, namely books, journals, and other relevant research. The data collection stage was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis stage is presented by presenting data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions.
