Abstract
This study aims to describe the type of speech acts and objectives in the expression on the truck tubs at Bajoe Crossing Port in Bone Regency. This type of research is qualitative research. The design of this study uses descriptive design. This design is designed based on the principle of qualitative design, The data iscollected, processed, analyzed, and presented objectively or in accordance to the reality. The object of the research that will be carried out by the author was the form of speech acts contained in the truck tub expression at Bajoe Crossing Harbor, Bone Regency. The data of this study got from expressions on truck tubs in Bajoe Port, Bone Regency. The data source of this study used primary data. The primary data source in this study was through documentation of photos of speech acts on the truck tubs at the Bajoe Crossing Harbor in Bone Regency. The research instrument is tool used to collect the data. Researchers in collecting data used media such as cameras, data cards and recording devices. In addition, researchers used data cards as a tool in recording data at the stage of grouping the data. The author role as the main instrument (human instrument) to conduct research on speech acts in the expression of the trucktubs. The data collection technique in this study is the documentation,listening andtaking notes. The author also collected the data through interviews. The results of this research about speech act on the truck tub expressions at Bajoe Crossing Port in Bone Regency were found in four types of illocutionary acts, namely assertive, directiv6ytre, commissive, and expressive speech acts. The objectives contained in the speech act on the truck tubs expressions at Bajoe Crossing District in Bone Regency are (1) notifying, (2) stating, (3) asking, (4) suggesting, (5) giving advice, (6) promising, (7) swear, (8) say a prayer, and (9) praise.
