Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to investigate the multiplicative consistency of interval fuzzy preference relations. This paper proposes a new multiplicative consistency definition of interval fuzzy preference relations and discusses some of its desired properties. In addition, some goal programming models are constructed to check and improve the multiplicative consistency of interval fuzzy preference relations. Furthermore, numerical examples are provided for discussion and comparison with other existing multiplicative consistency definitions of interval fuzzy preference relations. The results demonstrate that the multiplicative consistency definition proposed is relatively compromised.
