Abstract

Studying the causes and consequences of employees' attitudes towards job satisfaction is one of the main aspects of human resource management and organizational industrial psychology branch. Numerous studies have been done to identify and understand the factors influencing job satisfaction as compared to other organizational variables. In addition, evaluation of employees' attitude in this regard has been considered very important, as a common and general activity in organizations where managers are looking for physical and mental well-being of their staff. The present research undertakes to evaluate and prioritize the social determinants of job satisfaction among Yazd combined cycle power plant's staff. So we chose some 300 Yazd combined cycle power plant workers using simple random sampling and analyzed the variable discussed using statistical methods. Results showed there was a relation between social factors and job satisfaction. Also according to the relationship value, this relationship is strong and positive. These factors were ranked using Friedman's test and the factor of creativity with an average rating of 3.92 was chosen as the most important factor, the reward system with an average rating of 3.01 as the second, job security with an average rating of 2.93 as the third factor, relationships between colleagues with an average rating of 2.89 as the fourth and side benefits with an average ratings of 2.26 as the last factor.
