Abstract

The results of long-term research of the history of Russian pedagogical science and school in the Udmurt Republic are presented in the educational manual. In the conducted research the author relies on such methodological approaches in pedagogy as axiological, biographical, anthropological. Various sources (pedagogical works, monographs, scientific articles, publicistics, pedagogical press) were used, materials of the Central state archive of the Udmurt Republic, documents of The Museum of P.I. Tchaikovsky in Votkinsk were put into scientific circulation for the first time. The manual reflects the development of professional pedagogical education in the Udmurt Republic in the first half of the twentieth century. The author collected invaluable material about the evacuated educational institutions in Udmurtia, the organization of training and education of children. Materials on the activities of famous scientists-teachers B.P. Esipov, V.A. Sukhomlinsky are also included. The psychological and pedagogical analysis of the childhood history of P.I. Tchaikovsky is carried out.
