Abstract

This paper Proposes Automated Teller Machine (ATM) supply system consists of a grid connection, electrical generator, battery storage system and online uninterruptible power supply and Electric grid connection. In India electricity is yet not available to every place, especially in rural areas, correspondingly there is massive shortage in Electrical energy production. As a consequence, it's tough to implement ATM system at isolated zones, where these facilities are difficult to reach the people in these areas. To overcome this, renewable energy sources can be to use to power ATMs. Nowadays The advancement in renewable energy technologies led to the Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) which become popular in remote areas as a stand-alone power system. Here a combination of VAWT and Solar Energy hybrid system is used for powering ATMs. The vertical axis wind turbines work on the drag force and can rotate in any direction depending on the wind course so makes wind energy generation possible at low cost. Their generators can be placed close to ground for better accessibility. Solar panels convert solar energy into electricity. The comparative performance of hybrid power system is showing high effectiveness with the power system which operates alone. During daytime the electric power will be utilized through the power production from solar panel and power production from the VAWT whose power generation is going to depend on wind velocity. This energy will be sufficient for the operation of ATM along with energy storage system.
