Abstract
This report summarizes recent activities of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space as carried out by its two subcommittees on scientific and technical, and legal, matters, respectively. Deliberation covers the whole range of civil space activity, with an emphasis on implementing the recommendations of Unispace III and promoting the use of space-based services in developing countries. Discussions expected in the second half of 2009 are also reviewed.
