Abstract
Reversal or loss of setting expansion gypsum-bonded investment is studied as a function of mixing rate and CaSO4⋅2H2O content. Investments containing CaSO4⋅2H2O mixed at higher speeds (1000rpm and 1680rpm) exhibited at 24 hours reversal or loss of setting expansion which is directly related to both the speeds of mixing and CaSO4⋅2H2O content.
