Abstract

This article analyzes the article of D.M. Chingizbaeva «Оn the uniformity of legal terms» published in the Bulletin of the Institute of legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 4 (32) of 2013. About 10 years after the publication of the article, the uniformity of legal terms remains one of the most pressing issues. In addition, the author noted that the main requirement for strengthening the rule of law and order today is the correct translation, the correct use of terms in the laws translated into Kazakh. It was also noted that the increase in activity in the use of legal terms in Kazakh is also due to changes in the legislative system. The author of the article, D.M. Chingizbaeva, noted that any law is created with the help of legal terms, therefore they must be consistent, but to this day it is often found in legislation that the same term is given in different versions. As evidence, the author gives examples from the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the dictionary of Kazakh-Russian and Russian-Kazakh legal terms. During the study, D.M. Chingizbaeva noted that since independence, as the Kazakh language develops, the field of use of legal terms is also developing. In conclusion, he emphasizes that due to the fact that some terms can be obtained in different ways, both in laws and in official documents, the goal should not be to list existing terms, but to strive for unification, guided by broad experience.
