Abstract

The article analyzes exports and imports between Georgia and the United States during the period from 2015 to 2020. This period is used to calculate the specific weight of the United States trade with Georgia, both in exports and imports. In addition, the article analyzes the advantages of GSP (Generalized System of Preferences) trading regime in Georgian exports, the export-import balance and the relevant conclusions are made based on the obtained results; The commodity structure of Georgia's exports and imports to the United States is also studied. The article shows that a recent Free Trade Agreement is needed to move Georgia and the United States into a new phase in trade relations.
