Abstract

• Two coordination polymers were synthesized. • Complex 1 possesses the sensing activities with high sensitive and selective to the acetylacetone (acac) through a luminescence enhancement. • The treatment activity of compounds on the peripheral artery disease was further explored in the part of biology. Via utilizing a mixed-ligand method, two coordination polymers {[Cd(HL)(bpea)•H 2 O]•H 2 O•DMF} n ( 1 , bpea = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethane) and {[Co(HL)(pbix)]•2H 2 O} n ( 2 , pbix = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1ylmethyl)benzene) with structural diversity were synthesized through corresponding metal salts react with 5-((4-carboxybenzyl)oxy)isophthalic acid (H 3 L), a flexible oxygen-joint ligand in the existence of distinct N-donor co-ligands. Luminescence measurements indicated that the Cd(II)-based complex 1 possesses the sensing activities with high sensitive and selective to the acetylacetone (acac) through a luminescence enhancement. The treatment activity of compounds on the peripheral artery disease was further explored in the part of biology. First of all, real time RT-PCR method was conducted and the expression levels of the peptidyl arginine deiminase were measured. Then, the ELISA test kit was applied and the inflammatory cytokines content was detected.
