Abstract

In recent years, the smart city construction gradually becomes a major strategic move in cities at home and abroad, in order to solve a series of problems such as population energy and environment in city development. The smart city is a systematic project, of which the smart city construction assessment is the most important part. It has been few academical research studies with the smart city level evaluation now days. A case study of "the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan City Clusters" has been covered in this paper and TOPSIS based on coefficient of entropy method has been employed in this case to assess the smart construction from several aspects: infrastructure, economic level, technology and innovation, livelihood, security, focusing on contribute to the smart city construction in order to provide a set of feasible evaluation system and help for the smart city construction.
