Abstract
Currently, peach plantation in Beijing, China, covers an area of 20,867 ha and contributes to 1.67 billion yuan in total, which ranks the first in Beijing's fruit plantation in terms of economic output. Main peach planting areas in Beijing include Pinggu County, the plains in south and north Beijing and the northeastern part of the west Beijing, among which Pinggu possesses a peach plantation of 13.333 ha and almost takes up 65% of total peach plantation in Beijing. In the next few years, it is suggested that peach plantation in Beijing should maintain stable scale, actively enhance interior quality and benefits and take the road of connotative development. The farmers should also make some innovations in marketing mode such as innovative management, network marketing and sightseeing picking so as to raise peach price and make great contributions to fruit tree development in Beijing.
