The study reveals the basic principles of learning, which preserve the traditions and specifics of the profession when teaching choreography. The study analyzes the peculiarities of teaching the choreographic art, develops its concepts and principles based on the teaching and performing practice related to the training of mentors and children dance teachers. Previous studies have paid attention to choreographic art features of different countries according to their national history, culture and traditions. But the rapid pace of development of science and technology requires the introduction and analysis of new teaching methods and technologies in the educational process. The most problematic issues of modern choreography are the development of a new teaching methodology based on a person-centered approach and interdisciplinarity, the use of innovative interactive technologies, a combination of theory and practice. Thus, modern teaching principles and innovative systems and techniques, the analysis of which is devoted to this study, are marked by a high level of relevance. In addition, the introduction of innovative pedagogical technologies into the educational process in the field of the choreographic art of the [BLINDED] Academy and the [BLINDED] University is being studied. In the field of the choreographic art, the analysis of the ways of using ICT is carried out; the options to conduct interesting lectures and practical classes are given. The innovative pedagogical technologies are analyzed and the possibility of using them in the choreographic art is studied. The results of the survey show that among principles teachers` classes based on 45% of them have chosen the variant «emotional and logical connection method of comparison and alternation of actions humanization», which indicates the dominance of personality-oriented approach to teaching. The indicators show that the most popular educational platforms among teachers are Youtube (45%) and Zoom (45%). It can be considered that 45% of teachers said about high level of the accessibility of teaching with the use of innovative pedagogical technologies in the educational institution they work in, which indicates the rapid involvement of universities in new technologies and interest in meeting global requirements for the development and improvement of education. Most of teachers (65%) are sure that innovative pedagogical technologies are needed in choreography, while only 5% think that they aren`t needed. After giving the information on the application of innovative pedagogical technologies, the level of their use in the educational process of universities is summarized by conducting a survey.
