Retracted: Case Report: A newborn in western Nepal with Harlequin ichthyosis

Abstract

RETRACTION NOTICE (26th March 2024): The article by Rajput PS, Basnet S, Paudel Pk et al. Case Report: A newborn in western Nepal with Harlequin ichthyosis [version 1; peer review: awaiting peer review]. F1000Research 2023, 12:1609 (https://doi.org/10.12688/f1000research.55349.1) has been retracted from F1000Research by the F1000 Editorial Team. This article was submitted to F1000Research on 21st July 2021 and was published on 29th December 2023. During post-publication peer review, a peer reviewer noted that this article was also published in Med Phoenix (Nepal Journals Online) PS Rajput: A Newborn in Western Nepal with Harlequin Ichthyosis: A Case Report (https://doi.org/10.3126/medphoenix.v7i1.43941). This article was published on 19th August 2022. As per our policies on retraction, the corresponding author was contacted by the F1000 Editorial Team for an explanation. The corresponding author confirmed that the same article had been published on Med Phoenix and acknowledged that they should have withdrawn their article from F1000Research prior to submitting to Med Phoenix. The decision was made by the F1000 Editorial Team to retract this article, due to the duplicate publication and the need to correct the scientific record. Med Phoenix was contacted by the F1000 Editorial Team to make them aware of this retraction. All authors have seen a copy of this retraction notice. We are aware concerns have been raised by some co-authors about the listing of their names in the authorship list.
