Restrictive State Abortion Bans—A Reproductive Injustice

Abstract

(Abstracted from N Engl J Med 2022;386:1197–1199) In this perspective, the authors call on the medical community to come together to preserve reproductive rights in light of the challenge to Roe v Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v Casey, both of which permit abortion before fetal viability under the constitutional right to privacy since 1973.
