Abstract
This research is motivated by government policy in Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system and RI government regulation No. 19 of 2005 concerning national education standards that mandates each education unit to create an Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), the demands of the community for pesantren to do curriculum renewal, the declining quality of pesantren after renewal. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the Response of the Darussalam Tsalis Islamic Boarding School to Government policies in the Renewal of Islamic Education in Indonesia? renewal of learning methods (3) Darussalam Tsalis Islamic Boarding School response to renewal of learning evaluation. The purpose of this study is: To determine the response of Darussalam Tsalis boarding school to renewal of the curriculum, to determine the response of Darussalam Tsalis boarding school to the renewal of learning methods, To determine the response of Darussalam Tsalis boarding school to renewal of evaluation of learning.This type of research in writing this thesis is field research that uses descriptive methods and qualitative approaches. .This study found (1) Darussalam Tsalis Islamic boarding school welcomed curriculum changes, but not all changes were included in the pesantren curriculum, because pesantren has its own curriculum, which is an integrated curriculum. (2) Darussalam Tsalis Islamic boarding school responds to changes in learning methods, but not all learning methods are applied in Islamic boarding schools, because the learning methods that have been applied in previous Islamic boarding schools are in accordance with pesantren learning materials, such as the method of talking, mudzakarah, question and answer, practice, talqin . (3) Darussalam boarding schools accept the renewal of learning evaluations, but the changes are adjusted to the needs of pesantren, such as daily assessments, midterm assessments, semester exams, national exams and national standard madrasa exams
