Response to “Negative Results Call for More Delicate Experimental Design in Cortical Excitability Change of taVNS Intervention”

Abstract

First of all, we would like to thank Gu et al. for their interest in our paper and critical reflection of the experimental design. As the mechanism of action and optimal stimulation paradigm of taVNS have not been elucidated, taVNS research is associated with several challenges. Therefore, we encourage the collaboration between taVNS research groups, critical reflections, and the implementation of transparent study designs. However, we would like to respond to the concerns raised by Gu et al. as, in our opinion, these concerns have been addressed in our paper.
