Abstract

Respiratory rehabilitation is an important point in the recovery of patients who have experienced COVID infection but have not fully recovered. Delayed complaints of shortness of breath, muscle weakness and easy fatigue often make the patient temporarily and even permanently incapacitated and long-term deteriorate his quality of life. The participation of specialists in physical therapy and rehabilitation in the general plan of medical care after COVID infection is essential given the need to draw up a rehabilitation plan tailored to individual needs. The aim of the article is to study and present the possibilities of respiratory rehabilitation after COVID infection. The positive effect of rehabilitation is derived by optimizing the physical work capacity and preventing life-threatening complications. The training of patients and their relatives in the activities of the individual rehabilitation plan guarantees the effective continuation of respiratory rehabilitation at home.
