Abstract

The Amur Region of the Far Eastern Federal District is classified as a territory with low density of population. Availability of medical assistance to the population in the areas separated from industrial centers is cut. In this regard, analyzed were demographic indicators, morbidity and mortality rates in 2011-2012 as is recognized in official statistical documents. According to the Rosstat data the birth rate in the Amur Region in 2012 tended to be increased and exceeded an average index in the Russian Federation. In 2012 natural decline of the population in the Amur Region dropped down; it was 0, 4 per 1000, as compared to 2011 - 1, 2. According to the data of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation total morbidity rate, taking into consideration all categories of illnesses, in the Amur Region in 2012 raised up to 3,6 %; as regards illnesses of respiratory organs in particular - to 5,9 %, initial incidence rate - to 6,4 % in comparison with 2011. Proportion of respiratory organs infection in the total morbidity index in the Amur Region in 2012 reached 23,7 %, while in the initial incidence rate - 41 %. Pneumonia morbidity index in the Amur Region in 2012 was considerably higher than that throughout the Russian Federation. According to the Rosstat indicators, population mortality by reason of respiratory organs infection in the Amur Region in 2010-2012 exceeded the one in the Russian Federation and Far Eastern Federal district. In 2011, standardized indicator of human mortality rate from pneumonias in the Amur Region exceeded the indicator in Far Eastern Federal district and it was more than 2-fold higher than in Russia.
