Abstract

A method for transferring the nuclear spin dipolar energy in a solid lattice is presented. It is shown that order may be transferred between the Zeeman and nuclear spin dipolar systems in either direction by rf pulses of suitable amplitude. This method may also be used to measure the dipolar relaxation time. Experimental data on ammonium chloride are shown to be in close agreement with the theory.
