Abstract

The single particle and collective excitations of free electrons in doped n-InP have been studied by resonant inelastic light scattering near the E 0 + Δ 0 optical energy gap. The resonant enhancements and spectral lineshapes are similar to those previously reported in n-GaAs. The resonant spectra by longitudinal coupled plasmon-phonons reveal the contributions of processes for which wavevector conservation breaks down.
