Abstract
The principles of the gravitational wave detection by means of resonant antennas are illustrated and a review of the resonant antenna experiments in the world is given. The importance to perform coincidence experiments and to analyze the data with proper algorithms is stressed. Finally, possible plans for the future resonant antennas are indicated.
