Abstract

In this paper, a resonant network design is proposed to minimize the primary side effects that appear when pulse density modulation (PDM) control is applied to semi-bridgeless rectifier in secondary side of an inductive power transfer (IPT) system. In order to solve the problem that current in the secondary side is increased when PDM control is applied, current ripple is reduced by minimizing primary side influence by increasing secondary side receiving inductance. Furthermore, a method to obtain appropriate design conditions is proposed and the effect of the primary side according to the application of the method is analyzed through simulation.
