Abstract

Over the last decade, I have worked with Environmental Justice (EJ) groups on issues facing minority communities. I collaborated with the Red River District Environmental Justice Group (RRDEJG) on issues facing the Red River community (RRC) in Clarksville, Tennesse. By applying social science research to challenge power structures, EJ groups often represent one of the few voices disenfranchised communities have for mobilization and social action.
