Abstract
The villa is situated on the seashore of lake America, on a site sloping slightly towards the water and with the original vegetation preserved, as the residence has been constructed with the idea to respect the natural environment as far as possible. It consists of two storeys with an adjoining pavilion or a covered porch which serves as a garage, and which in the upper storey is not provided with partitions so as to allow for future amplifications of the living quarters. The ground floor, that is a typical example of North American planning, comprises drawing room, main dining room, and a spacious section for the family, with drawing room, dining room, kitchen and other services, and a play room. The upper floor contains four bedrooms, a divided bathroom and a closet. The master bedroom has attached bath with a dressing room and a terrace facing south. This terrace, a study on the same floor, and the rooms just below on the ground floor enjoy a panoramic view of the lake. The building is entirely covered with cedar panelling, which together with the varying levels of the roof and wings gives a sculptural look to the unit.

Das Grundstück neigt sich leicht zum Wasser und hat grosstenteiís seine ursprünglichen Pflanzen behalten dürfen, da bei dem Bau die grosste Rucksicht auf d i e umgebende Natur genommen worden ist. El dormitorio principal dispone de un baño privado con vestidor, y de una terraza orientada al sur, que, al igual que los locales de estar de la planta baja y un estudio situado sobre el nivel de la planta superior, disfruta de unas espléndidas vistas sobre el lago.
