Abstract
Improved sedimentologic and stratigraphic reservoir descriptions of barrier-island sandstones and genetically related deposits allow better reservoir management. Few published geologic models of ancient barriers contain sufficient detail to predict the distribution of heterogeneities on a variety of scales. The study described involves a 4-mi/sup 2/ area of Bell Creek production Unit A in which 15 cores were described and interpreted and 70 wells were utilized in constructing detailed cross sections and maps.
