Abstract

The analysis of the development and implementation of environmentally friendly electrical technologies in the transport industry and the analysis of existing projects for the conversion of conventional diesel buses into trolley buses and electric buses. The technological solutions that contribute to the spread of electric transport in large cities and megalopolises are given. Researching the model of electric propulsion system for buses with the Matlab Simulink programming environment was carried out to obtain the main characteristics of the flow of electrical and electromechanical processes in the equipment. The paper presents modeling the work proposed electric propulsion system of an electric bus for urban use. During the simulation, the principle of vector control of asynchronous motors (AM) as part of the electric propulsion system of the electric bus was implemented. The results of such a simulation allow us to eliminate errors and inaccuracies in the design of the control system of the AM and to debug the control algorithms in different operation modes of the control system. The mechanical characteristics of the AM traction, while operating in the electric power drive of the electric propulsion system for buses were built.
