Abstract

Malignant tumors, also known as cancer, are among the diseases with the highest incidence and mortality rates in the world. Photothermal therapy (PTT) involves injecting materials with high photothermal conversion efficiency (PTA) into the human body and using the principle of photothermal conversion to kill malignant tumor cells at the lesion site with high temperatures. This paper reviews various methods of photothermal therapy for malignant tumors, summarizes the basic therapeutic logic of photothermal therapy, and forecasts the future development prospects of this treatment method.
