Abstract

This paper mainly introduces the research progress on interface failure behavior in hightemperature alloy surface thermal barrier coating systems. The degradation failure and structural evolution behavior during high-temperature service were analyzed for the matrix/bonding layer interface, bonding layer/TGO interface, and TGO/ceramic layer interface in thermal barrier coatings. The research focus and direction that affect the interface performance of thermal barrier coatings were proposed.
