Abstract

A coupled model of engine mainstream way with secondary air system was established based on the network method. The change rule of engine performance, air system parameters and axial force was simulated when the aero-engine was sunk in shaft failure. The dynamic parameters of the secondary air system could be forecast accurately based on the analysis of transient algorithm, and the transient axial force also could be calculated. So the simulation data can be provided for the engineering design, and it can help the designer improve the secondary air system design. Moreover, its modular character allows integration of further detailed air-system unites and establishment of more complex air system network. The resultant modular tool is prospect in studying the complex dynamic characteristics and mechanism in Aero-engine air system.
