Abstract

To study the shape memory alloy (SMA) rods on the recovery of deformation performance of concrete beams after bending and heating, this paper uses SMA rods to replace the steel bars in the tension area of RC concrete beams to make SMA concrete beams. Load three groups of unidirectional SMA concrete beams (A1, A2, A2) and three groups of mixed SMA concrete beams (B1, B2, B3), and study the bending stiffness and repair ability of SMA rods under different diameters. The results show that the recovery effect of the test beams of group B is significantly better than that of the test beams of group A, and the B2 test beam with moderate reinforcement ratio have the best flexural performance. The stiffness after heating is 50.4% higher than that before heating.
