Abstract
In the fiercely competitive market environment, retail enterprises are supposed to deeply optimize their supply chains and improve service quality. The Internet of Things has a good application effect in the supply chain collaboration and the realization of information and process sharing. This paper constructs a theoretical model of internal integration, external integration and firm performance. Using the operational data of 230 retail enterprises in China, the structural equation modeling is used to demonstrate the impact of supply chain integration on retail enterprise performance. The empirical results show that both internal integration and external integration are positively affecting firm performance, and internal integration has a strong positive effect on external integration. This clarifies the steps for retail companies to integrate their supply chains. On this basis, the specific application of the Internet of Things in internal and external integration is analyzed, which is of positive significance for retail enterprises to improve their operating level, reduce losses, and enhance market competitiveness.
