Research on the Failure Judgment of Sprag Clutch Based on Wear Loss

Abstract

Aiming at the problem that the sprags and inner and outer race of clutch appear wear because of the contact cyclic force. When PCE clutch was compelled continuous action, the judgment formula was derived by according to the homogeneous coordinate transformation principle and combining with the clutches deformation displacement and the sprags center rotation. Established the mechanics analysis model by using MATLAB. The wear limit value of the upper and lower arc radius was calculated under rating toque condition. When PCE clutch was compelled continuous action, the wear limit value of the upper and lower arc radius was acquired and the failure criterion method of clutches wear limit value was propounded by researching.
