Research on the clinical efficacy of Shexiang Baoxin Pill in the treatment of chronic heart failure in patients with maintenance hemodialysis

Abstract

Objectives To analyze the clinical efficacy of Shexiangbaoxin pill in the treatment of chronic heart failure in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods Totally 58 chronic heart failure in patients with manitenace hemodialysis from August 2013 to August 2014 in the hospital were selected as the study objects, who were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group eauqlly.The control group was treated with conventional treatment methods(calcium antagonists, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, beta blockers, digoxin and weekly hemodialysis 3 times, each lasting for four hours), the observation group was treated with conventional therapy and Shexiang Baoxin Pill .The cardiac output (SV), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), left ventricular end systolic volume index(LVESVI) and left ventricular end diastolic volume index (LVEDVI) were compared with two groups after 8 weeks. Results After treatment, All indexes of observation group were significantly improved the effective rate of treatment group was significantly much better than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions Shexiang Baoxin Pills could reduce the myocardial oxygen consumption, enhance myocardial contractility, reduce inflammation, improve the symptoms of heart failure.Shexiangbaoxin pill is used in maintenance hemodialysis patients with heart failure, which cansignificantly reduce the clinical symptoms, improve the quality of life, and is worthy of promotion.
